Why We Exist
(IF We Exist)
Of all the lies that ever were, poetry has been the most constant. Or inconstant, maybe, if you're talking about mood instead of presence. At any rate, J3E Press in general and me in particular wanted to offer a way to examine some selection of our constant companion, for research, for ideas, for contemplation or complaints... A way to look at all the different ways we've said things in verse, and maybe a way to add your own to the mix.
Above is a graph of all the poems in the database, and all the poets. It is large enough to be unwieldy, like most things in art. Search the map on the left for more useful views, add your own to the right, and remember that none of the rights are reserved by me... The rights of the poems remain with the writers (most of whom for these are dead), the design of the site is borrowed from HTML5up, and the software behind it is Neo4j. All I'm doing is weaving it together.
Oh what a tangled web weave, when first we practice to deceive. But now that I've practiced, and practiced true, it's time for me to deceive you. Have some fun with the poems here, from one old PSYOPer to one (most likely) PSYOPed at some point or another...
